drahtseilakt

Anne Koch, photographer and a good friend of mine, asked me to draw a little illustration for her online portfolio "drahtseilakt." In the past years she developed a beautiful quiet style of portraying girls and women. Have a look at it.

stop motion fun

I have a lot on my plate for school right now (end of the 6. semester is almost there), thats why there is no artsy stuff recently. But Sebastian Bauer (a fellow student) and I did our first little stop-motion movie and I can show it to you now. We got the task to visualize a dialog and we chose a great one from "American Beauty".

Turn your speakers on and enjoy:

leonardo movie posters

These are for "leonardo" a short animation movie from Jim Capobianco (PIXAR). He showed me the PIXAR Studios and it was really nice to work with him. If you get the chance to watch the movie, do it. It’s really lovely and funny.

Hier bin ich nicht mehr hier,
so wie ich hier mal war.
Jetzt hab ich andere Gedanken
und du bist nicht mehr da,
wie du es einmal warst.

orang utan klaus

A small commission from last year. It was for an organisation, which works against killing orang-utans. The headline basically said if we don’t stop to kill orang-utans, they will be all dead in a few years:

This was the first sketch to show the colors and style:

new beginning

After this delay I'll try to evoke this little blog. First with a collabo with Steven. We did this last year and it was really fun:

For my good friend Levente: And a small "thank you" to an other friend of mine:

back in stuggitown

I lived in California for 6 month. Now I'm back in Germany in my hometown with my friends and family, Hurray. Just a few photos from this time:

Santa Cruz
:

San Fran (one of the most beautiful cities I ever saw):

Alcatraz. Big tourism thing, but it was perfect weather to take some photos:

LA, big and dirty place:
But I fell in love with the Walt Disney Concert Hall (Frank O. Gehry):
It was nice to compare the building to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain (also Frank O. Gehry). I took these three years ago:
